Impressionante livro religioso impresso nos Estados Unidos em 1887. Uma edição de luxo até para os padrões de hoje. NÃO SE FAZEM MAIS LIVROS ASSIM, DEFINITIVAMENTE. 543 páginas, formato grande (26 x 19cm x 5cm de lombada. Mais de 300 ilustrações e gravuras lindíssimas incluindo-se dezenas de obras de Gustave Doré (o jamais igualado ilustrador), Bida e outros mestres do século XIX. Algumas lâminas inclusive coloridas. Páginas diagramadas com a presença de lindas capitulares decorativas típicas da era vitoriana e muitos fleurons, headpieces e tailpieces. Escrita e editada por J W Buel e assitida por Rev T DeWitt Talmage, DD. Publicada por Scammel & Co, Standard Book Houses, Saint Louis and San Francisco. Encadernação ornamental, tipica do período, mas de luxo mesmo naquela época. Nenhuma página faltante, estado perfeito para seus 120 anos. Papel de excelente qualidade, sem foxing, nenhum escrito ou uso, excetuando-se o nome do proprietário na folha de rosto, escrito em 1888.
